DeckFilter is a bootstrapped indie product, born out of one gamer’s need to simplify his Steam Deck experience.
My name is Felix, and like many of you, I found myself with hundreds of games and limited time to play them. That’s why I created DeckFilter for myself in the first place, then starting as a side project and now hoping of becoming a go-to tool in the Steam Deck community.
DeckFilter wouldn’t be here without the inspiration and work from great projects like GGApp, SteamDeckHQ, ShareDeck, ProtonDB, and HowLongToBeat. I’m also deeply thankful to Valve for the incredible Steam Deck. Additionally, YouTube channels like Steam Deck Gaming, Gardiner Bryant, FanTheDeck, and DeckReady fueled my passion and motivated me to take this step.
As an indie product, DeckFilter is self-built without any external funding. This means every decision is made with the user in mind, free from corporate pressures or investor demands. Being independent allows me to stay agile, quickly adapting and improving the app based on your feedback. It also means that when you interact with DeckFilter, you’re engaging directly with my vision and dedication to making your Steam Deck experience as seamless as possible.
