This February 2024, Humble Choice presents a fascinating collection of games, offering everything from the emotional depths of Life is Strange: True Colors to the eerie universe of Scorn, and the retro extraterrestrial invasion in Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed. As usual, I’ve detailed the ProtonDB tiers and Deck Verified statuses, alongside how long it might take you to complete each game. This ensures you can choose games that align perfectly with your gaming preferences and available time.
The games this month range from “Gold” to “Platinum” on ProtonDB, with many enjoying “Verified” status for Steam Deck, indicating they should run smoothly with minimal fuss. Noteworthy mentions include Life is Strange: True Colors and Beacon Pines, both offering immersive stories with a “Platinum” and “Verified” badge, promising an excellent experience on Linux systems and the Steam Deck.
When it comes to how much time you’ll need, there’s a game for every schedule. Looking for a short but impactful story? Scorn offers around 5 hours of main story gameplay. If you’re in the mood for something longer, There Is No Light: Enhanced Edition provides a substantial adventure with a main story that extends to about 13 hours, ballooning to 34 hours for completionists. Whether you prefer quick experiences or lengthy explorations, February’s Humble Choice has you covered.
I went a bit crazy when I saw Life is Strange: True Colors in this bundle – seriously, my girlfriend thought I had lost it because I was so excited. All the Life is Strange games hold a special place in my heart, and I absolutely loved playing the third installment on the PlayStation 4. Besides Life is Strange, I’m also picking up Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed, Scorn, and There Is No Light: Enhanced Edition. Keep an eye on the @DeckFilter Twitter account for giveaways of the other titles in the coming weeks and months if you’re looking to grab them for free!
